VibeTivi is the first IPTV player to use artificial intelligence to recommend content. But how does it work? And does it actually make a difference? Here's a look under the hood.

The Three-Layer System

VibeTivi uses three layers of intelligence, each building on the last:

Layer 1: On-Device Rules Engine (Free)

This runs entirely on your device — no internet needed. It analyzes your watch history to find patterns:

• Category matching: If you watch a lot of action movies, it surfaces more action content you haven't seen
• Time-of-day: News in the morning, movies at night, sports on weekends
• Recently added: New content in your favorite categories gets highlighted
• Popularity: What's most watched across profiles on your device

This layer is available to all users, including free tier.

Layer 2: TMDB Enrichment (Free)

VibeTivi matches your VOD content against The Movie Database (TMDB) to add rich metadata:

• Movie ratings and reviews
• Similar title suggestions ("If you liked X, try Y")
• Trending movies cross-referenced with your catalog
• High-resolution poster art

This means your "For You" section shows content with ratings, poster art, and intelligent grouping — even if your IPTV provider's metadata is basic.

Layer 3: AI-Powered Picks (Premium)

For Premium users, VibeTivi runs a daily batch job that sends your viewing patterns (just genres and categories — never specific titles or personal data) to an AI model. The AI returns personalized category rankings and suggestions with explanations like "You frequently watch action content — here are trending action titles you haven't seen."

Results are cached locally and refresh once per day. Cost per user is fractions of a penny.

Privacy First

Your watch history never leaves your device for Layers 1 and 2. For Layer 3, only aggregated genre preferences are sent — never specific titles, channel names, or personal information. The AI sees patterns like "watches: action 40%, comedy 25%, documentary 20%" — not "watched Die Hard at 9pm."

Does It Actually Work?

After about a week of watching, the recommendations become noticeably relevant. The home screen stops showing random content and starts showing things you actually want to watch. The "For You" rows feel curated rather than algorithmic.
