Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the VibeTivi Android app, the VibeTivi website, and the VibeTivi web dashboard at vibetivi.com. It explains what data VibeTivi collects, how it is used, when it is shared, how long it is retained, and what choices you have.

VibeTivi is an IPTV player and account service. Most playlist and viewing data can remain local to your device, but some features, such as accounts, billing, AI recommendations, ads, email delivery, and optional cross-device sync, require server-side or third-party processing.

What We Collect

We collect different categories of data depending on which features you use.

How We Use Data

  • To create accounts, authenticate users, and manage secure sessions.
  • To process subscriptions, verify Google Play purchases, and manage billing status.
  • To provide optional cross-device sync and the VibeTivi web dashboard.
  • To provide playlist management, favorites, watch progress, watch history, recordings, and related app features.
  • To serve ads to free users through Google AdMob.
  • To send verification emails, password reset emails, support replies, and administrative account messages.
  • To generate AI recommendations when that feature is used.
  • To search for and download subtitles when the user enables OpenSubtitles features.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot sync, billing, and account issues.

When We Share Data

We do not sell personal information. We do share data with service providers and platforms that are necessary to run the app and website.

  • Google AdMob: Free versions of the app use Google AdMob for banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads.
  • Google Play Billing: Play Store purchases and subscription verification use Google Play and related Google services.
  • Stripe: Website subscription checkout uses Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Anthropic: If AI recommendations are used, the recommendation service sends watched-title lists needed to generate suggestions.
  • OpenSubtitles: If subtitle search or download is enabled, subtitle lookup information and the user-provided OpenSubtitles API key are sent to OpenSubtitles.
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery for account verification, password reset, and support/admin email messages.
  • Legal or security reasons: We may disclose data if required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or VibeTivi.

Important Product-Specific Disclosures

  • Optional cross-device sync: If you enable sync, VibeTivi stores the synced categories you choose on VibeTivi servers. Depending on your settings, this can include playlist names, playlist URLs, Xtream usernames and passwords, favorites, watch history, profiles, recordings, keywords, custom groups, and app settings.
  • AI recommendations are not anonymous in the strict sense: the current implementation sends lists of title names such as completed, abandoned, and recent content for recommendation generation. It does not send stream URLs or playlist credentials to the AI provider.
  • App settings may contain user-entered secrets: if you enable app settings sync, user-entered settings such as an OpenSubtitles API key may be included in synced settings data.
  • Website cookies: the website uses an essential httpOnly session cookie for login. We do not currently use analytics cookies or advertising cookies on the website.

Data Retention And Deletion

  • Account records are generally retained until you delete your account.
  • Session records are retained until they expire or are deleted during logout/account deletion.
  • Optional synced data is retained until it is removed by the user, replaced through sync, or deleted when the account is deleted.
  • Subscription and billing records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, legal, and tax compliance purposes.
  • Support messages and related communications may be retained for support history and abuse prevention.
  • Local app data on your device remains on the device until you remove it, clear app storage, uninstall the app, or overwrite it.

You can delete your VibeTivi account from the web dashboard. Account deletion removes the user record and related synced application data stored through the VibeTivi backend, subject to any records we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.

Security

  • Passwords are stored as hashes, not plaintext passwords.
  • The website uses secure session cookies for web authentication.
  • Network requests to VibeTivi services are intended to use HTTPS.
  • Authenticated API endpoints are required for account and sync operations.

No service can guarantee absolute security. If you enable sync, some sensitive data such as playlist connection details may be stored on the VibeTivi backend to support sync and dashboard features. That data is not end-to-end encrypted.

Children

VibeTivi is not directed to children under 13. Child profiles are parental-control tools managed by the account holder; they do not change this service into a children’s app.

Your Choices And Rights

  • You can use the app without enabling cross-device sync.
  • You can disable specific sync categories inside the app.
  • You can delete your account from the web dashboard.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account data, subject to applicable law.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play or Stripe, depending on where you subscribed.
